Montercarelli Villa lies in the Mugello hills in the village of Montecarelli, 35 Kilometers north of Forence and only an hour and a half to Rome by train. The villa is part of an attractive hamlet in a very panoramic position, with a view of the beautiful Tuscan Countryside, sloping down to the nearby lake at Bilancino

The façade of the villa is of the Sixteen Century, although there are signs of several different historical epochs, such as the consecrated chapel in the Italianate Garden, making it perfect for weddings. You will enter the villa grounds and the garden through a wrought-iron gate, to the left you will immediately see the pool and sunning terrace. In the middle and opposite the temple, there are flowerbeds and a centre fountain, surrounded by box hedges and young fruit trees. Kingdom of Fife Castle is not, and does not pretend to be, a hotel, we encourage our guests to treat the castle as their home for the duration of their stay. The castle has exceptional charm and its dedicated team of staff create an atmosphere of quality and discretion. There are many activities available to people visiting the Fife area and we would be pleased to help organise activities both in and around the castle. Country pursuits are very popular and we can arrange stalking, shooting and fishing, dependent on season.

Some of the most famous golf courses in the world are within an hour’s drive of the Castle, notably St. Andrews, Carnoustie, Ladybank and Gleneagles and we would be delighted to try and arrange tee times. As you will appreciate we cannot guarantee tee times but we will do our best to assist.

For the convenience of our guests we have a Helipad in the grounds and will be happy to arrange helicopter transfers to and from Glasgow or Edinburgh airports as well as to most of the Scottish Golf Courses. Private helicopters will, of course, be most welcome on our helipad.

We endeavor to provide our guests with a memorable and relaxing stay away from the rigors of office life. However to meet communication requirements all our rooms have direct dial telephones and broadband wireless is available in the study. A faxmachine is also situated in the study.

We can accommodate up to eighteen people in our nine, very individual, en-suite bedrooms. The price is inclusive of accommodation, breakfast, light luncheon, dinner, and all non-alcoholic beverages and, of course, exclusive use of the Castle and grounds. Our minimum stay is normally for two nights.

Scottish Castle I

Full Description: Lovely at any season, this Castle’s pink sandstone walls glow in the clear Highland light. Set in an 850 acre private estate, the castle offers tranquil seclusion yet is only a fifteen minute drive from Inverness Airport and Inverness itself, the ‘Capital of the Highlands’. Edinburgh and Glasgow are easily accessible by road, rail and air.

The castle, built in 1620 comes complete with turrets, massive studded oak gates and doors, a stone spiral stairwell, fireplaces, arrow slits and shot holes as well as a magnificent Great Hall ideal for entertaining up to 50 guests. England Manor House I

Full Description: Manor House I is situated in the small parish of Goathurst, some 3 miles south-west of Bridgwater on the northern edge of the Quantocks. The house lies south–west of the village on rising ground and is approached by a long drive through a former ornamental park, now largely under cultivation. It is of courtyard plan and the principal William & Mary range, dating 1689, faces north with distant views of the Bristol Channel. The rear ranges of the house are a palimpsest of older fabric, some dated to the medieval period; the whole being listed Grade I. To the south lies an extensive stable court and related buildings. The history of the parkland and its ornamental buildings, which are survivals of a notable 18th century romantic landscape, are listed Grade II* on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.

Manor House I is very easily accessed from Exit 24 of the M5 motorway, which is 3 miles (5km) away, and there are great walks in the Quantock Hills from the front door of the property. The wonderful gardens of Hestercombe are only a few miles away, so too is Dunster Castle, and the sacred site that is Glastonbury Abbey is only 15 (25km) miles east.

On the Grounds you will also find various sites available to tour on the grounds, including: St. Edwards Church which has undergone complete renovations, Temples, Stone Architecture dating back to the Druids, and various sites and sounds in our gardens and on the Estate that may well take you the entire trip to take in.

Princess Mary's Castle

Full Description: In the fifteenth century this Luxury Castle on Law Hill was constructed as a wedding gift for Princess Mary, the eldest daughter of James II of Scotland upon her marriage to Thomas Boyd the Earl of Arran. Six hundred years later, it is available for rent as Scotland's most luxurious and exclusive holiday home. What is now the formal great hall of this comfortable but unusual home once served as a courtroom - and comes complete with a pit prison behind a flagstone trap door. There's also a 'murder hole' through which hot oil could have been poured over unwelcome visitors outside.

The kitchen has modern appliances side by side with medieval ovens and a chimney rising to the parapet. A spiral stone staircase connects the five floors. On the ground floor there are two vaulted rooms, one a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and the other a utility room. On the first floor there is The Great Hall and kitchen, and on the levels above five bedrooms and a sitting room .

Many of the shuttered windows dotted around the castle have seats in small chambers set into the thickness of the wall. The staircase continues to the roof level, where there is an unusual 'Caphouse', formerly the guards' lookout. The Castle

The location is particularly attractive, a pleasant one hour's drive from Shannon Airport, it is backed by the beautiful Glen of Aherlow and the famous Galtee mountains. Once owned by General Sir William Butler, the Butlers of Ormond crest is still evident on the facade of the Round Tower.

As you enter the impressive gateway of Springfield Castle, a plaque commemorates Daibhidh O’ Bruadair, a classical Irish poet of the seventeenth century who lived at the castle with the Fitzgerald family recording their exploits. He described Springfield as "a mansion abounding in poetry, prizes and people".

Authentic Irish Castle

Full Description:

The Castle is a five-storey stone building. On the ground floor is the Medieval dining room with alcoves and arches, and is where originally the horses were kept and fed. It adjoins the fully equipped kitchen adjoins the fully equipped kitchen (with all mod. cons discreetly incorporated), and a w.c.

On the first floor is a bedroom with a 4-poster double bed (to sleep 2 people). On the return is a bathroom (lavatory, wash-hand basin and bath-with-shower), and on the second floor is a twin bedroom with a king-size bed and single bed (to sleep 2 or 3 people), as well as a cushioned deep-window alcove (5 feet). On the third floor is the Great (sitting) Room with minstrel’s gallery & inglenook fireplace, beside another bathroom (lavatory, wash-hand basin and bath-with-shower). The fourth floor has the next bedroom with a 4-poster double bed (to sleep 2 people), and the fifth floor consists of the largest bedroom with a king-size 4-poster bed (to sleep 2 people).

And it wouldn’t be complete without……a DUNGEON!!!!!!!!! This is located above the Great Room. The owner will be only too happy to explain why such dungeons were located in this area of the castle, rather than in the basement as many believe.

Coach House

The Coach House is adjacent to the Castle and is the ultimate in country living. It is a magnificently restored 19th Century Coach House of particular character and size (in excess of 2000 sq.ft.), with its wooden-beamed ceilings and internal stone walls.

The open-plan area of the ground floor consists of a kitchen, large living room (with stove) and conservatory. There is a separate dining-room and a TV lounge (which can also be adapted to cater for extra sleeping accommodation), with bathroom (lavatory, wash hand basin and electric shower). There are three bedrooms upstairs: the main bedroom has a double bed (to sleep 2 people) with en-suite (lavatory, wash-hand basin and shower): another bedroom with a double bed (to sleep 2 people) and a twin bedroom which has a double bed and single bed (to sleep 2 or 3 people).

Full Description: Casa Solaric is a magnificent restored farmhouse, known to the Catalan as a traditional Masia, with spectacular views of the Pyrenees Mountains. It is situated in northeast Spain close to many historic towns and villages and within an easy drive time of the old fishing ports of the Costa Brava and their splendid beaches, but also skiing in the mountains of the Pyrenees. The property sits in the middle of the Catalan region, close to the famous lake of Banyoles which is famous for a network of 5,000 kilometres of signposted paths to explore the regions famous mountain ranges, lakes, streams, rivers, valleys and vast woodlands. For the ornithologist and cyclists this is paradise.

The property itself is in a unique location. Although close to the highway network, it is situated at the far end of the 11th Century village of Serinya, which is famous for its historic church and prehistoric caves. Also within walking distance of the villa are several shops which supply daily needs, a bakery and several bars and restaurants. One local interesting restaurant in the village square offers daily a three-course lunch or dinner for €10 including as much wine as you can drink! The property is accessed by a private road that leads only to 2 or 3 local farms and therefore ensures virtually traffic free, quiet environment.

The original property has been lovingly restored in sympathy with its original architecture by the present owners in the last year, retaining all the unique features that were uncovered in the restoration, including the antique floor tiles and vaulted ceilings and also retaining the 18 inch thick stone walls which ensure the property remains cool in the summer, but warm in the winter. The property includes many original artifacts and antiques, such as the inglenook fireplace. A large 300-year old urn found between two of the internal walls has been opened up and on display using internal lighting, as is the original bread oven.

The Irish Country Manor was built in 1720, in the County of Galway, in West Ireland. The home is situated on 200 Acres of gardens and woodlands. The Manor overlooks a beautiful lake, where just across it you can make out a fantastic Medieval Castle. The home has 9 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms in the main house, with 2 guest cottages and additional rooms, totaling the complete estate at 15 bedrooms. You may rent the whole Estate or just the main house or cottages. The home has been updated, but kept in a very traditional styling.

As you walk in, the foyer is breathtaking, your eyes will wander a bit to the frescos which are detailed on each wall and the ceiling. The artistry is incredible, capturing the pure joy of what it must have been liked during the early period when this home was built. The classical moldings and diamond cut tiles bring this whole room together. A great entrance for a great beginning to a storybook holiday.

The bedrooms are all period style. The master suite, with King sized bed, is done in dark hardwoods and lightly colored linens. For your convenience you will find a writing table and breakfast tea table, setup so that you will have absolutely everything you need for your stay.

Besides the cheese store already mentioned, you'll find two small "superettes", one open 24 hours in a Shell gas station for necessities including Lu Petits Beurres and Lindt milk chocolate. Two wine stores, butchers, Guilhen is the best, Dalloyau pastry shop, seafood store and the indispensable hardware store on the corner of rue de Grenelle and rue du Bac.

However, in the surrounding area within a radius of 4-5 km. you will find good and typical restaurants, which will be able to satisfy any needs of those who do not desire to cook.

This fantastic villa was designed to give all guests lake-facing views from their bedrooms. There are three suites with queen-sized beds, one with twin beds and two single bedrooms. All beds have goose-down pillows and comforters together with the finest quality Italian cotton linens.

The gardens of the villa are set out beautifully on two levels. Each of the levels are shaped by imposing 20 foot high, 250 year old stone walls. Leaning over the garden balustrade, guests can look north towards the ancient village of Torno with its colorful piazza and villas or the the south towards the bright colors of the cutting garden, Versace's Villa and to the town of Como.

Today it presents itself as a romantic baroque castle surrounded by a lovely pond -once the moat - inhabited by all kinds of ducks and other water-birds as well as lots of fish. Thoroughbred horses graze in paddocks in the historical park in the shade of enormous old trees and you will find many romantic spots for picnics.

The first floor of the castle: a large salon, a library with an open fireplace, a Chinese dining room, a spacious kitchen and a hall for social functions. The guest rooms are on the second floor. We have an excellent cook and two housemaids who have been with us for over ten years. They are extremely helpful and dependable.

Occupying the secluded and tranquil Marnei peninsula from where its name derives, this cluster of three beautiful private villas and the discreetly withdrawn reception cottage are set in a 40,000 sq.m. orchard reaching from a lush pine forest down to the crystal clear Aegean sea. The villas’ stucco finish replicates the colors of the earth and the pebbles of the nearby beaches, while the traditional dry stone walls were built by local stone masons, creating a setting that is in perfect harmony with the natural environment. The orchard itself overlooks Megalo Seitani beach, a designated conservation area for rare fauna and flora. Apart from the villas, the orchard includes an olive grove, a vegetable garden, a vineyard with a variety of grapes, aromatic herb gardens, colorful flowers and luscious fruit trees, all grown and tended according to strict organic guidelines. In this scenery, guests can choose to either relax on their villa’s verandas, swim and snorkel at the property’s two private coves, lounge by the pool taking in the views and being pampered, or set-off on excursions, whether to nearby Karlovassi with its nightlife and restaurants or, by sea or road, to a multitude of coastal or inland destinations which offer a broad variety of activities and pastimes.

Samos Lays Villa 1 is conveniently located 45km from the Samos International airport and just a five-minute drive from Karlovassi town and port, which combines traditional elements and locations, with all modern facilities and amenities.

Daily maid service includes cleaning, making beds, and washing dishes. Bed linens are changed twice a week and washed with environment-friendly detergent and freshly dried in the sun; fresh bath and beach towels are provided as necessary. Staff will be happy to arrange for the laundry and dry cleaning of our guests’ clothes. Personal touches such as vases of fresh flowers and little surprises such as a refreshing jug of freshly squeezed lemonade ensure that the maid’s services will never have the feeling of a visit from a hotel housekeeper.

Breakfast may be served by the maid from a pre-selected menu including freshly squeezed juice, a basket of just-baked breads, home-made fruit preserves, our own organically grown produce, local cheese, honey and yogurt, eggs from the farm and more. On request, lunch can be served from a menu of typical Greek summer dishes or guests can be provided with a hamper for a picnic by the beach or up on a mountain top. An alternative choice may be to order some fresh fish or local meat, for a barbeque in the evening, with or without the discreet help of staff.

The villas are light, sunny and include fully equipped kitchens, marbled baths and showers, indoor and outdoor seating and dinning areas, outdoor shower and BBQ, satellite TV, internet, DVD, CD, telephone and fax service. All linen and toweling is of the highest Frette quality and included in the price are all the services mentioned earlier, such as the daily maid service, organic produce, and security.

Built in 1878, this beautiful traditional two storey Santorini Mansion is located in the heart of the picturesque village of Megalochori. This is one of two Mansions in our portfolio that was once owned by the most powerful families on the island.

Santorini Mansion consists of two spacious self-contained units with a shared pool and its tastefully decorated with fine antique pieces of furniture. From the village square a small winding road leads you to the Mansion.

Enter into the large cobbled private courtyard, complete with pool. A stone stairway leads you to the first floor with large terraces and panoramic views of the village. The house consists of a traditional, well equipped kitchen, which leads into the large dining room with original wooden floors and vaulted ceiling, perfect for entertaining. A comfortable lounge adjoins the dining area. The spacious master bedroom is comfortable, bright and airy. A staircase leads to a private landing and second large double bedroom. An attractive bathroom with wood and stone features services both rooms.

The ground floor once served as the 'canava' - wine cellar and workshop - of the Mansion. Carved into the rock face every aspect of this Mansion is unique. The cylindrical troughs sunk into the ground, once used for distilling the visanto, provides unusual lighting features to the interior.

Three large barn-style doors lead from the cobbled courtyard into the various living areas. The smooth-edged carved interior provides a cool and relaxing haven during the hot summer days. The well equipped traditional-style central kitchen leads into the beautifully lit dining room, perfect for leisurely meals with friends and family. Arched doorways on either side of the kitchen allows for an easy flow through the house.

The large comfortable lounge is well appointed. The spacious sleeping area allows for two double bedrooms with a shared seating and dressing area. Double doors lead out into the private courtyard and pool area. The shared extravagant bathroom has a built-in Jacuzzi, seating area and large vanity. A few steps away from the attractive pool you will find a separate spacious double room with en-suite bathroom.

A lovely castle, located in Castlecoote, Ireland. This Castle was purchased in 1999 and underwent a complete renovation from the walls, to the ceilings, to the grounds, every part of the house has been restored to the Stately Castle that it once was.

On site you can find Two Tennis Courts, Game Room with Full Size Snooker table and Billiards, conference facilities for Corporate needs, and a wonderful staff to help when needed. The Castle, can accommodate 10 guests in it’s 5 luxurious Suites, and nearby there are various hotels and villas which can be paired with the home for larger groups. If you are coming in for a Wedding, we can accommodate you for that as well. Please feel free to ask about anything you may need.

A Little History
The Castle is situated on the site of a medieval castle, thought to have been built between 1570 and 1616. It was a strategic site, and may have been the base of the Chieftains of Fuerty, the MacGeraghty clan. In 1616 it fell into the hands of Sir Charles Coote, who improved and refortified the castle. The castle was attacked three times by the confederate forces in the 1640's.
