Villa Splendida was built in 1726 the farmhouse holds a unique history dating back to the 11th century. In fact it was built upon the ruins of a medieval lookout tower of which the walls can still be seen today. In 2005 the villa was completely restored by the current owners, with the help of a local architect, an expert in medieval architecture. Keeping in mind its architectural history he restructured the house using its original materials whilst integrated with regional architectural salvaging. The result has been the perfect restoration of this beautiful farmhouse with the inclusion of every modern comfort. The valley is full of fruit orchards and picturesque olive groves, vineyards and the surrounding hills are made up of forests of oak, pine and cypress. From the Villa you can enjoy and amazing view of the Lake Trasimeno and its islands. You will find that the farmhouse is the ideal place to relax and enjoy unforgettable days of pleasure under the gentle Umbrian sun. The house is composed of the main building which can host up to 8 people and a little cottage with 2 twin rooms. Beside the swimming pool they are also a relaxing area with gym and sauna.
